For $49,990...
That's right folks a 2005 E46 M3 with only 967 miles. I am going to say its a Crack Price but it is so close to being NP.
One is a car with such little mileage requires A LOT maintenance to be in good running condition, two is the this car still can suffer from VANOS failure and rear subframe cracking (both can be done with preventative maintenance), three this car is a rather common color combo (if it was Imola red, LSB, PY, or IB this would be a really NP), and the last thing that keeps this from being NP is the SMG transmission.

Doesn't that dealer almost exclusively stock the "ultimate example" of various M cars at absurd prices?

Almost everything from Enthusiast Auto is CP, usually listed for $10-15k over what a normal sane person would pay

what was the sticker on these things when they were, um, new?

If it was a competition package it would be a fair price for a time capsule E46 M3.

CP.

Original window sticker on my 02 was 57,900

CP
I know it's a time capsule, but still.

My 2002 with the cold weather package and premium package was $53,320

Crack Pipe. Like everything else from EAG, very nice cars at outrageous prices. I don't think this really works with BMWs but I guess you're only selling 1 car...

Have you seen their E28 M5s? They are about double what someone should pay.

My thoughts exactly...
If it had the comp pack, manual, and was Interlagos Blue EAG would have listed this at $59k+

I don't think any of those accurately describe the car with 127 miles.

I wouldn't say nice price, but I wouldn't say crack pipe either. It's like all of the other cars at enthusiast auto. The prices are high, but they are the best examples of each model. A nationwide search for S54 m roadsters yields 18 cars, 8 of them are at enthusiast! They can charge those prices because they buy up all of the really nice ones.

Gorgeous car, but CP. Unfortunately.

true, but theres a $20k gap here. Who is closer to the right market price?

The great thing EAG is doing is driving up the market prices on all E46 M3s. So that when some lady is texting and sipping her latte and crashes into my M the insurance value will be higher than the actual value.
I sort of joke about that but it would get me in a competition package car much faster.

I completely agree it's CP. I wouldn't even know where to start on how to value a car $20,000 is quite the variance I feel like it somewhere around 35 to 40,000 at the most that being said this would be a good collector piece despite the color. I'd be afraid of the engine leaking everywhere and every seal on the transmission, rear end, axles, everything rubber etc. being trashed (vulcanized) that being said $20,000 considering everything I'd need to replace to feel better about it.

$35-40,000 would totally be NP territory! I don't think the collectablity of e46 is there yet, especially for an SMG, bland colored car. Like gtrzilla said, if this were a manual car in Laguna Seca Blue with the competition package, then I could justify spending $50k

whoops 9xx miles

To this day, I can't see anyone paying those asking prices. Absurd. How do they stay in business? they have a pair of E28 M5's near 100k? That's price, not mileage.

CP. Because you can get this one for half that.

in order to buy this car (finance) even if you have a beacon score of 720+ it would require $25k as a down payment
![]() 02/19/2015 at 12:20 |

Would say CP until you factor in the amount of high quality maintenance and warranty that they include with sale.
It is a CP though due to the amount of down payment you would have to slap on the table just to finance around a 10% rate. But then again if you have the money to buy an out-dated m car, you could probably go ahead and pay cash for the full amount.
![]() 02/19/2015 at 12:31 |

and $25k would get you a real nice e46 M3 with say <50k miles

Exactly

If I could only have one bimmer for the rest of my life, it would be an E46 competition package. I love my E90, but the E46 just has that timeless look, and I just felt a little more connected to the E46.

Wow that's a stupid price.

At that point I'd be looking at 1Ms with low miles.
